Postcards from Mars: Volcanic region Tharsis on Mars is criss-crossed with 250 meters wide valleys

In this picture you can see 250 meters-wide valleys crossing young martian terrain. It was taken from orbit by MRO camera in the Tharsis volcanic region. Although there are no active volcanos on Mars, the evidence for volcanic activity can be found on many places. Tharsis region hosts some of the biggest volcanoes on the planet including Ascraeus Mons, Pavonis Mons and Arsia Mons.
