Evidence of relativistic jet found near supermassive black hole in the center of Milky Way

Astronomers discovered evidence of relativistic jet coming from the supermassive black hole in the heart of our galaxy (called Sagittarius A*). Jets of intensive radiation are often found coming from black holes that consume material from their surroundings. Sagittarius A* is not active at the moment, but its jet seems to push matter away from the black hole.
